If I have a 32' x 16' above ground pool and it has a metal pool shell. Steel framing structural supports. I believe I do not need to install the Copper Conductor Grid 680.26 (B)(1)(b) as it has a vinyl liner.
My question is, I would install the perimeter surface bonding and attach at 4 places evenly spaced around the pool, but in a case where someone was to need to install the grid, what exactly (step by step) is it asking one to do?
so you have the 12 x 12 grid and your basically placing it exactly as you would the perimeter bond, but just inside the perimeter bond? I guess I'm just trying to see how this bonds the shell if it is not directly bonded to the metal of the pool, but just within 6 inches of the contour of the outer edge? Does it not go under the pool? where does it say how wide the grid must be? or is it saying it must be the entire shape of the pool and not extend beyond the outer edge of the pool more than 6"?
Thanks in advance for some clarity on this
