I'll be looking at an above ground pool tomorrow. The gentleman needs a circuit because he is tripping other house circuits. He said he had a permit for the pool but never an electrical permit ??

At first he was vague and just talking about a circ to his deck.

When I go there. I'm sure there's no bonding. Would the surface bond ho around the pool at earth even though there's a deck I'm not sure but I remember Dennis mentioned of screwing under the deck for a hot tub install? ?

Water bond is also going to be questionable. I'm guessing to a ladder if it's metal or tell the owner to get an inline water from the pump ??

Surface ground. To earth or deck?!

Please refresh my memory. From the ceu course The locking twist lock isn't required as of 2014 and that one duplex satisfies the convenience recpt also ?

Sitting in mma with grandson I'll look it up when I get out but definitely questioning the surface bond

Thank you

From what I get of it. The earth need to be bonded.

What if the way the deck is constructed that any footings for the deck are further than three feet from the pool or there are other support means. But guess the book says 4 to 6 inches down from som grade at the mid of 3 feet. No what ifs so guess it goes in (or at least ill price it. He's probably shopping numbers anyway)

Did some searching and seams although it may not make sense to put in. Nec says put in in.
