Anyone have a idea on a year of manufacture for a old ESCO Transformer?

Well some time between 1945 when they opened and April 1991 when they went under if that narrows it down for ya. You might be able to decode a date of manufacture from the serial number.

You could also contact Powell Industries Inc and see if they can decode the serial number, they acquired ESCO in 1991.
