estimating and billing software

i need some unbias opinions on software for billing and estimating....... i am a small shop, about 5 employees, work mostly commercial would like to expand to possible 12 or more employees, need an estimating program that can be used by an idiot......

That's not gonna happen :D

Easy, cheap, almost idiot proof...The National Electrical Estimator (TNE, for short).


TNE is $33 at amazon.com, $52 at Craftsmanbooks.com

TNE intigrates with QuickBooks/QuickBooks Pro(QBP) for invoicing and billing...QBP can also be setup for payroll.
I think I paid about $250 for QBP in 2001?
 
I do my take-off's by hand and create estimates with QB. I don't do a lot of estimates, though. 20 - 30 a year. 400 or so invoices, though.
 
We have QB Enterprise. The only thing fault there with an estimate is you have to change the wire prices manually each time wire changes. I don't have that kind of time. I use Conest, it seems to work pretty well and they have good support. There are several out there that will work.
