Is there a rule of thumb for the amount of wire to add for drip loops and sag when figuring overhead wire length?

I need to run 1/0 quadplex between buildings that are 250' apart (two poles, two weatherheads.)

This also comes up in residential a lot when trying to figure triplex from the meter pole to the house. Currently I just take a WAG and add some more.

For wire at tension, add 5%. For cable at tension, add 7%. For cable strung in slack, add 10% plus drip loops and terminations. Old rules of thumb that may or may not work for you. These are what we used to use for stringing wire and cable before the computer did the calculations with AM/FM programs.
