Estimating Software

I would think this horse may have been beaten almost as many times as ground plug orientation on a duplex receptacle - However as I have not/do not have time to search previous posts. I Would like input from those using software for estimating purposes - what software they prefer and why. We are currently using an old DOS converted to windows application called EBM - It is not user friendly as it is imeadiately apparent to even an apprentice attempting to estimate that the materials are not arranged in anything resembling locigial order - if you try finding a PK-8 grounding strap you could lose your mind. Any sugguestions with feedback as to what you like or don't like about system you are using would be appreciated - Thank you in advance and have a great day!

What is your budget?
There is a wide range of prices for estimating software.

The best ones IMHO is Accubid and Conest.
These are the ones that I have used.

Even with these there is a wide range of prices based on what you want the software to do.

Their prices can range from $2,000 to $6,000

I built my own spreadsheet for estimating, works great, although it took many hours of data entry, it was still cheaper than whats on the market and its custom to what I want. If you have a lil computer nohow its not a bad way to go.

Not only the price of the software, you would also need to suscribe to a pricing service such as Epic or TraSer to keep the material prices current.
That is unless you can keep track and manually update the individual prices yourself of thousands of items.
