Hi, we started a small 2 man residential shop a few years ago and know basic prices for most jobs. When we talk to other contractors in the area our prices seem much lower. Is there any basic program we can use for estimating ( both of us are not very computer savoy) Thanks appreciate any help.

Put an annual cost on these items.
Now granted some items are a one time charge, some don't apply annually, but you should consider the cost.
Add up your costs and then divide by your cycle of bill pay, or 52 weeks or 26 or 12 months.

I look at this as the cost of hanging a shingle! Many ignore this aspect IMO!

This has nothing to do with Bidding verses Hourly wages which should vary and can be researched on this forum and else where.
