If converting a european appliance cord to US , What is the color code??

US is black/white
EU is brown/blue

assume "green is ground world-round"

What is the standard color code for change-over???

Except for PEPCO utility in Washington DC, they use green as a phase color......crazy the first time you see it

A lot of pocos use green as a phase. Some go White Red Green  I never understood it.

At least blue makes more sense than white IMO. Blue is closer to green, so its a long the lines of "related to ground, or more accurately grounded conductor" But both are better than the UK that used to use black as a neutral

And yes folks, green has been used as a phase, yellow with a red stripe as ground and red as a ground in some older wiring practices around the globe.
