I am installing a ev charging station in a commercial building in the back for a tesla . What NEC code article should I refer to and is there any tricky code requirements that I should be careful of ? Thanks

If you do a search in the index of the code book you should be able to find the article.

Use proper wiring method, local disconnect, properly sized OCPD and circuit conductors, follow the instructions that come with the charger and ask your AHJ for any special requirements that they may have.

Ev charging is Art 625.

As hinted at above, "tricky code requirements" or local amendments to 625 are an AHJ issue.
