Looks like a wire that was way OVER torqued and the screw just about cut the wire into.

John was 1st,It is a smaller gauge wire like # 12 or so from a panel?We have been tagged for it.Use of a cordless drill with the clutch to tight. ;)

Closed that post to soon.From what I can see it appears that these wires were overtouqued twice.Maybe a panel guts change out.That was the way it was found on a home we did. :roll:

Wayne, when I first saw this picture that?s what it looked like to me but since no one else questioned the silver color I thought my eyes were deceiving me.

This is usually the result of a square tip driver in a battery drill or a square tip screwdriver in the hands of an inexperienced ground rod installer!

Usually a phone call to the forman takes care of the problem.
