Exhaust fan control

Client is asking for the wall mounted 120V exhaust fans to be interlocked with the motorized dampers, (also 120V) and controlled by a reverse acting thermostat…has anyone out there ever done this?

Have the thermostat open the dampers and use an auxiliary switch on the damper to operate the fan, either directly if the contacts are suitable, or via a contactor.

The OP asked for an interlock, and I don't see turning them both on together as being interlocked.
