Existing boxes and fittings with spices passing through Class 1 Div 2

There are existing galvanized threaded rigid conduits with non-explosion proof boxes and an LB fitting (outside) within a new Class 1 Division 2 zone. All have wirenut splices within them. Would it be required to change the boxes to explosion proof with seal offs (or) install seal offs on the conduits within 10ft. outside the boundary? These conduits eventually go to electrical panels in an un-classified area.
I think 501.15(B)(1) and (b)(2) supports the need for seal offs.

The fittings do not need seals themselves since they are not required to be explosionproof per 501.10(B)(4). Boundary seals are required by 501.15(B)(2); however, they are not required to be explosionproof either. See the last sentence in 501.15(B)(2).

501.15(B)(1) "Entering Enclosures" says that seals "shall be provided" in conduits entering an enclosure that is "required" to be explosion proof. Why would the existing enclosures not be required to be changed to explosion proof now that it is in a class 1 Div 2 location? It is directly in the new hazardous zone and contains wirenut splices. (with no seals required)
The second paragraph says "in order to complete the explosion proof enclosure".
Should the word enclosure be changed to classified area? I think the classification would be comprimised and vulnerable if these boxes are not required to be changed and sealed. How can it possibly be a class 1 Div 2 hazardous area?

See 501.10(B)(4). Enclosures with splices in Class 1, Division 2 areas are not required to be explosion proof. Standard enclosures and fittings are permitted. Since the enclosure is not required to be explosion proof, seals are not required.
