There is an existing conduit system in our plant that is routed from a pipe rack tray system to grade and continues underground to our control room. The cables are multiconductor power and instrumentation circuits.
There is a new project working that will put the conduit that is routed underground in a Class 1 Division 1 area.
Do I have to remove the existing cable and install conduits seal at the hazardous boundary? Or since the cable dumps into a tray system are we okay?
Thanks,
Sonny
