Existing fire pump that is being changed , has pvc coming out of slab to fire pump controller. This has to be at least emt right? New Controller is rated 3r.

All wiring from the controllers to the pump motors shall be in rigid metal conduit, intermediate metal conduit, electrical metallic tubing, liquidtight flexible metal conduit, or liquidtight flexible nonmetallic conduit Type LFNC-B, listed Type MC cable with an impervious covering, or Type MI cable.

I would think the OP means the wiring to controller not to pump motor.
