Can you explain what you want to do in more detail? There are just too many variables that bring up more questions than answers.

Check with a good electrical engineering service provider. I good one should be able to fabricate a transition or transition section to the new one. If I can recall some switchboard manufactures may be able to fabricate a transition section if you provide the bus dimensions if your switchboard is construction in a way that it is possible to do. Again, without actually seeing it, it's impossible to determine if there is a solution.
