exit lights lumens

Regarding the lumens output of exit lights. Is there a minimum requirement for exit lights. If so how is it measured?
My goal is to ensure that all exit lights remain in compliance with NAFA 101 and the fire code.

I believe the building code simply states one foot candle at the floor for the entire path of travel.
