Anyone know who makes exit sign with AC only and knock out in center of backplate ?

Take the battery out and it is now AC only?

Something tells me it won't really make much cost difference these days if you do find one without backup battery.
 
Not sure if there is one without backup power supply as most instances where signage is required also requires that it illuminates for a set duration on power loss. A lot of the new ones have very small lithium batteries for the LED lighting in them not like the older style or ones with egress lighting built in that use what might look like a mini car battery.
