I recently specified tritium type exit signs that are powered by radioactive gases for an industrial site. Found out, that no radioactive material is allowed.

I am going to specify a photoluminescent type exit sign (Glo-Brite) that have no radioactive gases. There is a pigment inside the sign that absorbs and stores surrounding fluorescent light.

Has anyone seen these signs installed? Are they compatible to tritium? Likes/Dislikes?

I have used both with no particular preference except that the radioctive concerns with customers are a problem.

The Brady-Glo signs are excellent IMO.

NYC has recently (within 2 years) enacted Local Law 26 which is as a result of the WTC evacuation on 9/11.
I specify
1. Brady Corp.
2. Luna Technologies.
3. Jessup Manufacturing Company.
4. Ecoglo Ltd.
5. SafeSign Corp.
6. American PERMALIGHT Inc.
7. Glow Zone Inc.
I use the semi-rigid and rigid materials from those manufacturers.
