You will need an EMT expansion coupling.Can u run emt thru a building expansion joint is what I was trying to say!

If I understand what he is asking.
Through a joint.
Usually there is a gap wide enough for a 1/2" EMT.
Some have a key way and will not allow you to go through and others have a full gap all the way through.
Seen this on tilt ups with welded seam plates and gap that has backer rod and sealant.
So through or across?
