Anyone ever do any wiring with SA wire?

Just curious really. The stuff is great. It is like the 'limp noodle' or wire!
12awg = 665 strands of 40 gauge wire! Cool stuff.

I only recently learned that my Fluke meter's leads are silicone wires. I bought a couple of rolls of the stuff for my projects I do but was wondering if anyone has used it.

I that stuff rated at a higer voltage than THHN?
What is it used for as I have never used it.
Probably seen it.

its commonly used in high temp applications (inside tv/film/theatrical lighting for example). The silicone has terrible abrasion resistance -so its often found with fiberglas braid over the silicone.
