Can any one tell me the manufacturer of this connector, and dose it require the sealing compound. If so I'M not sure where it would go. Thanks

there are numbers engraved on it, they aren't entirely legible in the picture. suggest googling the numbers and see what pops up

What is it used for? If it were a shorter body, I would guess it was an MC-HL terminator.

Ship Board Cable Connector if I am not mistaken. If so there is a compound you can seal them with.

It looks similar to a union classified for class one division 1 location only used at the equipment where one is required for maintenance. Reference number with Crouse hinge to know for sure. If it is then you through away the screw on nut there that seems to look like fitting for fmc use in hazardous locations also known as horsecock which come in a predetermined length from factory and must not and is very dicculty alter. After the union place the hose then a seal off. This connector does not look like it requires seal off in it. Because you must be able to put packing and desperate cables or wire before applying compound. However, I haven't had a lot of experience in co axial fittings approved for hazard locations. I have however pulled cat 5 and fiber inside of inner duct where there was no special seal off fitting because inner duct was inside rmc and seal as well as panel and equipment was rated for explosion proof. . Hope I helped and didn't confuse you but if you are working on a project where it is a class one division one location then you need to research Crouse hinge hazardous location pdf. They manufacture ninety percent of electrical fittings in industrial environments and hazard location. No I am not a salesman for them but the more ya know about your craft the more valuable you will become as well as make us all look good in from of the pipe welding and other department on the job. I hope I educated you more. Any further question let me know
