I've got a question I need help with.
We have a movable hoist using 480V 3 phase that currently uses SO cord and a reel for power. We have had several cord failures with this set up. It is used to change fork lift batteries in the battery charging bay. Can an open rail sliding contact system (What is this called?) be used in this situation instead of the SO cord and reel?
More details we are in Missouri and under the 1999 NEC.
