Hello,
I am trying to find any USA requirement for exposed vs enclosed dc bus bar. I am inspecting a small rectifier from China that has exposed copper bus for external wire connections. Rated 36vdc and 650A max output. The Owner of the firm thought there was a 110VDC upper limit and you could have exposed bus until the units exceeded the 110VDC limit. He thought it was 50VDC in Australia?
I am just trying to find a document (OSHA, NEC, UL, IEEE??) that gives me the rules in the USA. Does anyone know where I can find this info?
Thanks for your time.
Jim
