Exterior Cable TV wiring

Does anyone know the standards used for exterior wiring of cable TV on buildings (NJ)? My understanding is that the the Board of Public Utiliies have some jurisdiction. Do the cable companies have their own rules?

Yes, the cable companies have their own rules as to how they run and attach cables to buildings. The only aspect that is regulated is grounding.
