Hey guys, im kinda new at this but here it goes. Today a homeowner wanted me to put a light next to a exterior shower and next to the propane tanks. Is there a code that states how far that light needs to be from that shower and from those tanks? thanks.

Welcome to the forum.:)

Provided that the light is listed for the location there is no NEC required distance that the light must be kept from the shower or propane tanks.

look at wiring and at the light fixture! check class and division, is it suitable for an area where there may be flammable gases?.are you using the correct conduit /cable fittings?
there could be danger here
