Is there a requirement for exterior lighting at man doors for a commercial storage barn and commercial properties in general?

The only reference I could find was for dwelling units (210.70) and C does not mention exterior lighting for commercial buildings....

thank you very much....

The building & life safety codes require an exit discharge to be lit up to a particular level. The exit discharge is the path a pedestrian would take from the exit (door) to the public way.

True for most, but not all buildings. If its a utility use group, lighting may not be required.

It is indeed a 'U' occupancy and thus it is not required. Whether it's just path lighting or egress lighting, the IBC doesn't require it...at least not in a 'U' occupancy...

thank you you all for help and on my other posts.
