Exterior receptacle on commercial dining circuit

On a residential dining room (SABC) you're not allowed to put an exterior receptacle on the circuit, but how about a nursing home or assisted living building? I don't see anything that says you can't, but just wanted to check with others who do more commercial work than we do. Can I install a GFCI receptacle on the exterior of the dining area in an assisted living building and tie it in with the existing dining circuit or is there something similar to the residential code that says I can't? They want an outdoor receptacle on the building because there's not any on the back side and there's a receptacle in the dining area that we could come out of and go through the wall for the new receptacle.

Thank you.
