EYS sealing fittings

I have read this ?there are other styles of EYS sealing fittings in horizontal runs are limited to face-up openings? in STALLCUP?S ELECTRICAL DESIGN BOOK but when I check NEC 501 , I didn?t find this issue and the author of the book said this meet the requierment of the NEC, Could you help me?
 
All EYS*1 verticle/horizontal seals must be installed opening up in horizontal runs in order to be able to pour it. Look at the pictures of the seals here.
