I am reading that spec as prohibiting running the cable in free air. I see it as requiring red EMT if exposed and permitting MC where concealed.I see no real advantage to C. Above the ceiling and in the wall regular fire alarm cable can be installed in free air. Typically a stub up is used in the wall for convenience.
Yes you're correct it could mean that. I would send an RFI and ask why. And what is a pathway anyway?I am reading that spec as prohibiting running the cable in free air. I see it as requiring red EMT if exposed and permitting MC where concealed.
In fire alarm, "pathway" is usually associated with circuit class and/or survivability level. The classes are A, B, C, D, E, N, and X and the levels go from 0 to 3.Yes you're correct it could mean that. I would send an RFI and ask why. And what is a pathway anyway?
