I have plans which show new fire alarm control panel fed by two 120V single phase circuits from Panel A. So from Panel A their are 2-20A single pole branch circuit breaker with circuits to the Fire Alarm Control panel. I find this odd in some way most plans just has single 120V single phase circuit with one 20A circuit breaker but this one has two in fraternity setting. Both circuits are dedicated to Fire Alarm Control panel.

Questions:

1. Is Fire Alarm control panel allow to have multiwire branch circuit feeding it or not?

2. Is Fire alarm control panel require to be fed by one branch circuit or can their be more than one branch circuits? Looked in 760.121(b) , 760.41(b) just say branch circuit not more than but I am not sure.

You will have to look to the installation instructions for the actual panel that is going to be installed.

The NEC does not require more than one circuit, but it also does not permit more than one circuit.
