As per article 210.12, arc fault circuits required.

Will the fan coil unit added on a arc fault circuit cause the breaker to trip once the motor is energized?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Shouldn't but it could. Fans and such have been known to cause problems. Question is why is a fan coil blower motor on a bedroom circuit?

The UL test for AFCI includes a motor load. Past posts on the forum indcates that some afci's will trip with a motor load, esp when a long run is used. Its not clear why.

This was the same problem we had with GFCI's a few years ago. and it's now popping up with click position dehummer type paddle fan controls. they seem to trip when someone changes the speed to slow. The reason is the switch looses connection as it is changes causing a transients spike to surge the circuit this happens at less than a half of a cycle and will show up as an imbalance between the hot and neutral.
This needs more explaining but it's late so maybe someone can jump in here.
