In this case, I have seen many posts recently wherein a long "quote" from an earlier post was followed by a comment on one small phrase within the quote. That costs the reader some extra time and effort, in order to understand the intent of the new comment. My intent is to discourage the practice of "over-quoting," by refering the guilty parties to the FAQ.
The software that runs the Forum does not (yet) have the ability to change the FAQ icon to yellow when a new item is posted. So you cannot tell that the FAQs have been changed unless you check it frequently. I thought I'd save you the trouble.
