This is a question for you guys that do lots of service calls in the fall for farmers and there grain setups. My question is what are some common items you keep in stock on your truck to do this kind of work? Relays, starters or what else?
I used to live for harvest time. I still have what we call the Dryer Box. Small tool box with igniters, flame probes, gas valves, temp limits, crimp connectors, stirator parts, hub puller, etc.Yes a good selection of capacitors would be a good idea. As in terms of dryers I'm thinking maybe some igniters. Been a few years since I worked on dryers so trying to think of a few things to keep on hand. Trying to figure out if most of those spark plug igniters are universal or not

very few of the small bin dryers in operation now. Genetics has the grain drying down much quicker in the field.
Ignitors are are not all the same nor are the flame probes. Wrong one can cause one heck of a lot of damage.
Chief, Caldwell for the most part. They're made 5 miles from me as are Delux, but those don't have the problems the older small bin dryers do.I guess what I'm looking for is what brands and types of grain dryer parts your carrying.
Like Tom asked, what is dominant in your area? Local dealer of a particular brand usually means there will be more of that particular brand in that locality.I guess what I'm looking for is what brands and types of grain dryer parts your carrying.
