A 1P 208v fan coil unit would required NO neutral? Just 2 hot legs? Also if running in EMT can use conduit as ground?

Customer may require a ground pulled though in their specs. We don’t have many customers that don’t have that in their specifications.

Most of the time I would say it is not the customer that puts the green wire it is the engineer who draws the plans. The customer probably doesn't care about or want the green wire.

Walmart will check it. Years ago we did a Walmart that was taking over an existing building. Original building was using the conduit as a ground, our foreman knew the Walmart guy would check, so he thought he would be smart and push a ground up the pipe at the panels. Apparently the Walmart rep had been down this road before, and pulled the wire out of the pipe on his inspection!
