When running a feed for say a 20, 30 or 40a motor such as an exhaust fan etc. is a separate ground required or can you use the conduit as a ground. I am thinking it would not just be hot or hots(depending on poles/phases) and neutral? THanks.

What are the parameters for wiring motors and a separate gorund? Thanks.

You can use metal raceway as an EGC but depending on the flexible connection from the disconnect to the motor you may need an internal EGC.
