I am building a detached garage. My current meter is fed underground and then through the back, via conduit down to my basement where my main circuit box and a sub panel are located. I want to install a 200 Amp external disconnect with feed through lugs on the outside of the house next to the existing meter box and run a 100 Amp breaker off of the new external disconnect out to the garage. My plan is to feed my service cable out of the meter box into the service disconnect, then off the feed through lugs BACK into the meter box and out the back of the meter box through the existing conduit. Is there any prohibitions against this? That way I do not need to move any of the existing panels. Thanks
