I'm trying to find out what the best option would be to run parallel service conductors for an open style generator (no building). The plan is to bring the conductors out of the generator cabinet down through the skid and then up through a bottom entry on the switchgear. My first thought would be a cable bus as it would allow a denser cable layout than having multiple parallel runs bundled in a cable tray. Another option is to use copper bus and figure out how to install the proper insulation / isolation to route it. It's definitely going to be much more expensive and technical, but use the least amount of space.

Do you have any opinions on which would be a better route? Looking at 7 x 25ft 535's for a 3000A MCB with a 40C ambient or 3/4" x 8" copper bus.

Thanks

Due to the nature of the generator I'd stick to wire. Vibrations will not bu good for buss bar.
