Hi. I have been reviewing our company's electrical plan and i have bumped into the schedule of loads. I am confused on how the designer got the formula for calculating the feeder conductors and protection. Been scanning the Philippine Electrical Code (Which is derived from the NEC) but i cant find it. The designer used a formula:
Main wire feeder = (It + (Ih x 0.2)) x Demand factor
Main Protection = (It + (Ih x 2)) x Demand factor
Can anyone enlighten me or point out in the code how the formula has been derived? . Thank you and more power.
