I have a feeder to a 4160v-277/480V transformer that has an E-rated medium voltage fuse as the overcurrent device. I need to size my equipment grounding conductor from Table 250.122. I have noticed that the minimum melt of the E-rated fuses is about twice the E-rating (i.e. a 40E fuse has a minimum melt at about 80 amps). Is the applicable overcurrent device rating for an E-rated fuse the E-rating or the minimum melt as it applies to Table 250.122?
