I was told that the feeder to the pool equipment panel had to have a copper insulated EGC. I knew it had to be insulated but I've never heard it needed to be copper. I can't find that in the code and wanted to see if anyone else heard of this. 680.25.B just states it need to be insulated. I was hoping my to use mobile home aluminum feeder cable sleeved in conduit for the install. Thanks.

Not code requirement, but terminating aluminum at a pool panel may end up being a very corrosive environment.
Also be sure to use lugs/bus rated for Al or else pigtail it.

I agree. My customer is supplying the feeder cable to save on cost and I think I'll press harder for him to just spen s bit more and use copper. Thanks for the reply.
