I have (2) 100amp-rated control panels that will be fed from a single 100amp/240 volt feeder circuit. (Each control panel has an integral panelboard for branch circuit wiring for equipment connections). The panels are installed side-by-side and interconnected by a gutter below. Usually, one panel is fed from the other via a breaker, but on this application I would prefer to splice the feeder in the gutter and run to each panel above. Is there any Code issues that would prohibit this installation?
The total load won't exceed 75 amps, and the OCPD will be just the one 100amp breaker.
Any input would be helpful.
Thanks
Greg
