I have a quick question regarding a future solar installation...
I have a 100KW solar inverter that is feeding the supply side of a switchboard rated at 3000A 277/480V 3 phase 4 wire. I understand the supply side connection is permitted by 690.64 which references 230.82(6). Since it will be connected ahead of the main 3000A circuit breaker, it is planned to install a 200A fusible disconnect switch with 150A fuses. My question is in regards to the feeder from the fusible disconnect switch to the inverter. Based on Table 310.16, I believe the feeder should be 4#1/0 with a #6 ground. I was told the neutral and ground should be 400mcm (based on the 3000A service) but I do not believe this is correct. Does anyone have any input on this?
Thanks,
Tom
