Feeder Size

If looking at a one-line and and feeder(about 800') and there is a splice box in the middle would the feeder size be the same on both sides? I would assume it has to be. THe feeder is tageed the same on both sides... Just curious...........

Sounds like construction project with plans and specs if so RFI it. If not check the voltage drop for this load, it maybe just fine.

A 1/0 cu 3ph circuit with an Article 220 calc load of 42A is just fine at 800' (respecting 3% voltage drop).

A #2 cu 3ph circuit with an Article 220 calc load of 75A is probably fine as well at 800' (8.4% VD netting 220V nominal)

Just depends on your circuit specs and Article 220 calc load. VD = SQ RT 3x(KxQ)xIxD/CM & VD = 2x(KxQ)xIxD/CM
