Hello,

Does anybody know when choosing feeder tap conductor, do we need to consider the temperature correction and fill adjustment for the ampacity of the feeder tap wires?

Thank you!

Yes. Any and all factors that affect the ampacity of the conductor and terminations as a system, matters for the tap ampacity requirements.

I also agree, but keep in mind minimum ampacity selection and overcurrent protection are separate issues and covered by separate code sections.

Some instances the minimum size tap conductor permitted may be larger then the minimum ampacity required by the load.

Then other situations with similar or same load but different length of tap, different size of feeder being tapped or tap is located outdoors - those details can change things on you.

You need to make sure once you have made a conductor selection it meets minimum ampacity requirements as well as meets overcurrent protection requirements.
