Feeder Terms

Say you ran 750 kcmils when the terminals are the end are only 600 kcmils. You can splice on 600 kcmils not longer than the splice box distances provided.
 
Get gear quote. That'll tell you the lug sizes. You can possibly get larger lugs in some spots if needed, and if you know what sizes you need.

Perhaps the engineer already calculated V.D. and upsized feeders. So look through the drawings; if any feeders are larger than they typically would be, double check the lug sizes will work.

Perhaps the engineer has NOT calculated V.D. on feeders. Sometimes they are lazy make you do it; they may have a general note or spec that says something like "Contractor to calculate V.D. and upsize feeders to limit V.D. to 3%". In that case you'd have to calculate and upsize them yourself.
