Fence grounding - stop, just stop

Working on a 1.8 meg ground mount pv project. So it has a mile or so of fence around the perimeter. Typical chain link fence. We have to drive a ground rod and "ground" the fence every 250 feet. I think we are losing the battle to the dirt worshipers. Ground rods must be made of special "grounding steel" or something.

The primary loser is whoever is paying the bill, or eating cost if they didn't include this detail when figuring their bid.

I said it before in another thread, it's like a cult for some of them.

I'm surprised there aren't specs to chant and burn incense while the group rods are being driven.
