Hi all
Been searching for a bit online I keep getting hits from this forum so I figured I would post here maybe yall can help.
I am part of a non profit that puts on a festival in a village center that is a part. We have food trucks that need power. This power has ran acroos the road on the ground while road is closed. With obvious issues of a large amount of cables, ie damaged cables constant breakers tripping and …. This has also left the area people walk a dangerous mess trips and falls. Last year we had several preventable accidents in our small 3 day festival.
This year I want change Power reliability and ZERO accidents. The main run across the road is 75 ft. I acquired a 175 ft roll of 4/4c so cable. The idea :
fill 3 55 gallon barrels with quickcrete and set 4x6x 14ft pt posts in them.
Then when set in place tie the tops together with 20ft 2x8s ( I would donate them also).
I would have the cable in 1.5 inch loops attached to the 2x8 to support it .
At the end of the 75 ft mount a outdoor breaker box to a plywood board, install gfci breakers and weatherproof boxes for our food trucks to plug in.
The supply side would have a pin and sleeve with a breaker installed in panel.
Does anyone have thoughts on this?
Thanks for the input
