Fiber optic cable

I am installing a conduit in a Class II division 1 area. The cable in the conduit will be fiber optic. Only fiber wires will be in the conduit. Will I have to install explosion proof fittings on the conduit?

No; in fact, see Section 502.5. There may be some boundary sealing issues, but they are pretty easy to overcome. See Section 502.15.
