This PassBook is loaded with lousy question/answers. Here's another one.

Where rubber-covered conductors are used in a conduit, the minimum radius of the curve of the inner edge of any field bend, in terms of the internal diameter of the conduit, shall not be less than

A. 4 times
B. 6 times
C. 8 times
D. 10 times

Is there any rule in the NEC that explains this?

Why do you waste your time with such nonsense? Throw that damn book in the garbage. Buy a Stalcup, Holt or any book with a shread of recognition.

Why is a PE asking these types of questions?
They are obiously out of a test book.
Didn't you pass the testing portion of getting your PE?

Well all the questions certainly shows someone at least thought about something!

It's been interesting enough at least to me to cause me to think from time to time.

Granted it's not always a moment learned as much as the moments lost... ;)

Or is it!

But how could one not learn otherwise?

HE Knows everthing a book has to offer

HE Knows everthing a book has to offer

Book learning is good !!!
Why would anyone use rubber coated conductors and where???

Name a supply house that has some in stock??

Name a supply house rep that has a clue what it looks like???

I am just curious???

Can I use those in a horse barn ran in PVC conduit or is EMT permssible???

Or CAN I use a 1in bender on 1/2 EMT , then will the radius be acceptable for
inspection??

HE Knows everthing a book has to offer ........ Pure Rubbish!

The questions are mysteries, the answers are fiction, and the author should be reading self help.

If they listed the size and type of conduit 344.24 may apply as it is referenced for many types of conduit.

From the questions you have posted as others have said this seems to be a VERY POOR STUDY GUIDE!
