Have a look at 230.1 Scope and Figure 230.1
The word "Source" near the top of Figure 230.1 is incorrect, and should be replaced with the words "Serving Utility".
By definition, the "Service" is supplied only from the "Serving Utility".
The use of the word "Source" is not defined, whereas the "serving utility" is contained in the definition of "Service" in Article 100.
This correction will help to eliminate confusion of misapplying Article 230 to 215. This correction will also help remove confusion of applying 250.24 or 250.30, especially with the installation of distibuted generation systems.
